3 Day Speyside Experience
Explore Speyside at a gentle pace, savouring the water of life amid spectacular scenery.
Tour Description
From the Cairngorm Mountains to the Moray Coast, this three day journey follows the River Spey through the heart of whisky country - a landscape shaped by barley fields, salmon rivers, ancient forests, and some of the world’s most iconic distilleries. You'll spend two nights in Grantown-on-Spey on this tour. Strathspey, the broad and fertile valley carved by the River Spey, is one of Scotland’s most distinctive regions. Best known for its exceptional whisky production, it offers the perfect setting to explore the art of uisge beatha - the water of life. With more than forty distilleries scattered across this beautiful area, from world‑famous names like Macallan and Glenfiddich to the amazing Glenallachie or one of the newest, Dunphail. Speyside is a paradise for whisky lovers and curious travellers alike. The River Spey is famed as one of Scotland’s finest salmon rivers, its clear, fast‑flowing waters carving a route through forests, farmland, and fishing towns. Following the river north reveals a landscape rich in wildlife, tradition, and natural beauty, making Speyside an unforgettable region to explore. A personalised itinerary will be provided upon booking, and we’ll work closely with you to tailor the route and timing to your interests - whether that’s whisky, scenery, history, or a little of everything. Pick‑up is available from your chosen location, with a typical start from Edinburgh at 8:30am. Please note, accommodation is not included, giving you the flexibility to choose lodgings that suit your style and budget. Our experienced team are happy to provide recommendations. Please also note, additional excursions or optional activities may be offered during your tour. Participation in extra excursions is entirely optional and may incur additional costs, which will be clearly communicated at the start of your tour.
