Tour Description

The 'Lady of the Lake' may not truly dwell in Loch Katrine, but this is the very body of water that inspired Sir Walter Scott to write his epic poem in 1810. The surrounding landscape of the Trossachs - Scotland’s original “Highlands in miniature”- played its part too. Sitting on the fringes of the Highland Boundary Line, this region is a place of deep stillness, wooded glens, and shimmering lochs. It has captivated writers, artists and travellers for centuries, and it remains every bit as magical today. Typical itinerary: AM: - 09:00 - Pick up at your chosen location. (Timing based on an Edinburgh departure). - Coffee break in the lovely Victorian town of Callander. - Drive through the stunning Trossachs to Loch Katrine. PM: - Boat trip, walk and lunch at the loch. - 17:00 - Return to your accommodation (based on an Edinburgh drop-off). Why not turn your day tour into a longer adventure? Stay overnight in one of the region's fantastic hotels and pair this experience with one of our other day tours? Just get in touch - we'll be happy to craft a bespoke itinerary for you.
