Often called the heart of Scotland, the ancient region of Perthshire straddles the Highland Boundary Line and has long been home to some of the country’s most renowned clans, including the Robertsons and the Drummonds. Visitors can wander the magnificent Drummond Castle Gardens, historic seat of the Earls of Perth - and by the Jacobite line, the Dukes of Perth. The fair city of Perth sits gracefully beside the mighty River Tay, while nearby Scone Palace, ancient crowning place of Scottish kings and home to the Stone of Destiny, remains one of Scotland’s most iconic historic sites.
